We’re pleased to announce that we have arranged for pupils at Battledown Centre for Children and Families in Cheltenham to attend the Jack & The Beanstalk Pantomime at the Everyman Theatre on 5th January 2017 as our guests.
Battledown is a maintained Early Years Special School funded by Gloucestershire County Council providing specialist assessment of children between the ages of 0 to 7 and covering the whole range of additional needs which include:
- Communication and Social Interaction Difficulties
- Learning Difficulties
- Speech and Language Delay/Disorder Developmental Delay
- Physical, Medical difficulties and Sensory Impairment
- Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties
“The centre is a fabulous facility but unfortunately largely underfunded, so we are delighted to help in a small way and arrange this trip for the children, which l understand they are very excited about,”
–Richard East, Patron of Beavers & MD of RE Resource Group.
The Everyman Theatre offers relaxed performances which are open to everyone, however, this performance of their Christmas show is suitable for children and adults with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, those with learning disabilities and for families with young (pre-school) children. They also encourage people with dementia and anyone who would prefer to enjoy live theatre in a more relaxed environment.
